About

I am fascinated by capturing the beauty of the natural world in constant flux. Shifting land, water, and sky, and the places where they end and meet inspire me to interpret, through color. Forays into encaustic painting (using melted beeswax, natural pigments and fire) allow me a more abstract, intuitive approach, and a long time spiritual practice of iconography grounds me in ancient Byzantine traditions. Straddling coastal and urban life grants me the privilege of shifts of scenery and perspective, and a fresh eye for beauty, which is everywhere, awaiting to be acknowledged.
